SECOND HAND & COLLECTIVE BOOKS – READING ROOM

A new antiquarian/secondhand bookshop-bazaar is launched in Patras. Despite the fact that antiquarian and secondhand bookshops are already an institution and regarded in esteem in other countries, in the Greek market this is not the case, since they tend to be unappreciated in terms of quality and importance. And although in the exterior all major collectors prefer to turn to them in order to enrich their collections, here, in Greece, we are far from sharing this point of view.

It is our firm belief, however, that this trend could be successfully introduced and established in the Greek audience, also, and this is why we created the “BookStopCafé”: The idea originated in our personal quest through the paths of History, Culture and The Arts, which form our cultural inheritance and leave traces as the time goes by.

An Ambient Place To Be

ANTIQUARIAN BOOKSHOP – CAFÉ / READINGROOM

The “BookStop Café” is a modern setting that hosts a rich collection of books in a variety of topics at the most affordable prices in the market. It functions as a antiquarian/secondhand bookshop as well as a cafe, and you can access it by two entrances. The “BookStop Café” is a quiet and cozy place, ideal for bringing your own favorite novel, accompanying it with a cup of your favorite coffee; or, alternatively, we can help you pick up your new title, choosing amongst our various secondhand or new editions, getting a chance to know each other better.

You can enter the “BookStop Café” either via Patreos Street (entrance No1) or Vourvachi Street (Entrance No2, for our more selective audience), where you can already enjoy a large display of books by 120 publishers, from €0.50 to €5.00: We just can’t think of anything better for your Sunday walkabout!

We gave our best to create an inviting place – hangout, suitable for thought exchange, where you can discover interesting titles in the categories of philosophy, philology, psychology and history or choose a special gift for someone else.

ENTRANCE II: 9 VOURVACHI St.- GARDEN / READING ROOM / BAZAAR

Besides, you are more than welcome to order any book you want, from any publisher, even if it is secondhand or currently out of print, so that we include it in our search list and bring it to you. And, should you have any books that you no longer need in your library, we are interested in buying them or offering an exchange with a new or a secondhand book of equal value.
